About Me and My Services

Welcome! I’m Alison Trexel, a dedicated learning support educator and experienced executive functioning coach. For over 13 years, I’ve worked in learning support at some of Pittsburgh’s top private, college-preparatory schools, helping students with learning challenges and neurodiversity. Through this journey, one thing has become clear: many students face significant struggles in managing their academic responsibilities effectively. They aren’t being taught the vital skills necessary to successfully navigate time management, prioritization, scheduling, and self-accountability. As a result, even the brightest students can fail to demonstrate their true potential, especially during high school and college.

That’s where I can help. My goal is to empower your student to unlock their full potential by equipping them with the tools and strategies they need to approach academics with confidence and determination. Together, we’ll develop personalized routines and techniques to help them stay organized, focused, and be successful. If your teen or young adult needs guidance outside the classroom, I invite you to reach out—I’d love to support them on their journey to success.

What Can Executive Functioning Skills Do For Your Child?

"Being able to focus, hold, and work with information in mind, filter distractions, and switch gears is like having an air traffic control system at a busy airport to manage the arrivals and departures of dozens of planes on multiple runways."
